Do you seek guidance in your life at this time? Everyone has a story to tell and I'm here to listen to yours. We may not always be able to clearly see our options to manage stress, emotional pain and confusion, so beginning therapy is a great way to process these emotions and thoughts in a safe, caring and non-judgmental way. Perhaps your fears or worries about relationships, career, a sense of inadequacy or the need to be perfect are holding you back. Therapy helps to facilitate healing and growth. I welcome the opportunity to work with you to improve your sense of success and live your life to the fullest. I've been working with teens and adults for 20 years specializing in: trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, loss/grief, chronic illness and self esteem.
You can expect to feel heard and validated as I will be very open and interactive with you.
I will offer you compassion and understanding to support you in your personal growth and healing.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for several years. It’s helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety and depression. CBT helps to recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I'm a trained EMDR therapist and have been using this method for the past year. EMDR is a therapy method that treats mental health conditions that happen because of recurring memories from traumatic events in your past. Unlike talk therapy, EMDR therapy doesn’t require talking in detail about distressing issues, but it does help rapidly reduce the intensity of negative emotions and disturbing images that may be stuck in your mind.
My overall approach is integrative as I seek to practice the most effective treatment for each individual. I may pull from various therapy techniques (Mindfulness, Mind/Body, Grief, CBT, CBT-i, psychodynamic, Cognitive Processing, EMDR, etc) to treat you uniquely.
