LCSW, 5 years of experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Dallas, Texas, with a Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. Since 2019, I have been in private practice, helping clients navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. Before opening my practice, I gained extensive experience working in mental health within hospital settings, where I developed a strong foundation in providing compassionate and evidence-based care.
In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we will begin to get to know each other. We'll discuss the reasons that brought them to therapy, their current challenges, and what they hope to achieve. I will ask some background questions to understand their unique situation and experiences better. Together, we'll start to outline initial goals for our work together and determine the best approach to help them move forward. This session is a collaborative process, and clients are encouraged to share openly, ask questions, and set the tone for their therapy journey.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood, and my commitment to meeting them where they are in their journey. I am skilled at helping clients navigate life transitions by providing practical guidance and compassionate support, while empowering them to harness their own strengths and resilience. My experience in both private practice and hospital settings has given me a broad understanding of mental health challenges, allowing me to adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating significant life transitions and are motivated to make positive changes. These individuals may be facing challenges such as career shifts, relationship changes, loss, or other pivotal moments in their lives. They are ready to work towards their goals and are open to guidance, but may need a little direction to clarify their path forward. My role is to provide them with a supportive and structured environment, helping them harness their own strengths and resources to achieve the outcomes they desire.
ACT has been shown to be effective for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and substance abuse. It’s particularly valuable for helping individuals who struggle with rigid thinking patterns and who find themselves avoiding or struggling against their internal experiences.
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. The idea is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing maladaptive thought patterns, we can influence our emotions and actions positively.
SFBT is effective for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and life transitions. It’s particularly useful in settings where time is limited, such as brief therapy models or crisis intervention. Its emphasis on positive change and practical solutions makes it a flexible and adaptable approach.
