New to Grow
Hi, I’m Deidre Rose-Alder, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I provide compassionate, patient centered mental health care to adults. I believe that mental health care works best when patients feel heard, respected and actively involved in their treatment. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, combining evidence based medication management with supportive therapeutic techniques to help patients better understand their experiences, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I understand that reaching out for help can feel very overwhelming, as such I strive to create a calm and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their concerns. My goal is to work alongside each individual to develop a treatment plan that aligns with their needs, values and personal goals.
1. I provide thoughtful, patient centered care. I take my time to understand the full picture of a patient's experience rather than focusing only on symptoms. Patients feel heard, respected and involved in their treatment decisions. 2. I approach medication management thoughtfully, balancing effectiveness with side effects and tailoring treatment plans to each person's needs and preferences. I also consider lifestyle factors, stress, trauma history and medical conditions when developing treatment plans. 3. I view treatment as a partnership. Patient's are encouraged to ask questions, share concerns and actively participate in developing their care plan. 4. I maintain clear and compassionate communication. I explain diagnoses, treatment options and medication decisions in a way that feels understandable and empowering rather than overwhelming. 5. Creating a safe nonjudgmental space and helping clients build insight and resilience.
Psychoeducation
I strongly believe in empowering clients to be more aware of mental health issues through education. I believe in engaging them in a therapeutic rapport, where they are active participants in achieving their mental health goals.
