Welcome. I practice psychotherapy from a place of warmth, respect, compassion, mindful presence, and curiosity. Therapy can be a place to explore different sides of the self, while taking a step back to gain a broader perspective. Whether you are here to manage stress, build self confidence, or heal from wounds of the past, the first step is reaching out for support. You don't have to navigate this alone. I can offer a safe space that is culturally aware, trauma-informed, and free of judgement. My approach includes a wholistic focus on mental and emotional wellness as this creates a healthy foundation for change. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. We can work using mindfulness, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), talk therapy, or narrative therapy. If you are ready to take the next step, schedule an intake appointment. I look forward to meeting you. *If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. There will be a $100 late cancellation/rescheduling fee for session cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time.
The therapeutic space is one where you can feel safe to communicate your innermost thoughts and feelings; a space where you are seen and heard. Together, we will examine what constitutes a "safe space" for you. This will serve as a springboard for the therapeutic relationship and our time together. We will work together to not only set attainable goals but identify (real or perceived) problems that may be getting in the way of your success. This may include letting go of unhelpful coping strategies and engaging in new, healthier ways of being. I will help you to prioritize self-care, set boundaries, improve communication, regulate challenging emotions. Most importantly, I will support you with practicing patience with yourself during therapy.

Throughout the course of therapy, I invite my clients to consistently monitor self-care habits and boundary-setting behavior. When we take poor care of ourselves, de-prioritize our needs, or foster relationships that leave us drained and invalidated—it’s common to experience an increase in depression (sadness, lack of energy, feelings of low self-worth) and/or anxiety (agitation, difficulty concentrating, overwhelm, panic). Practicing consistency with self-care and boundary-setting can increase your sense of self-worth while decreasing feelings of powerlessness and defeat.
