I am a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed healing arts practitioner, and I work with statewide clients via telehealth. I have extensive clinical experience that started in 2003 (Mexico) and then became an addiction clinician in 2016 (North Carolina). I moved to California in 2019 and have lived here since. I have expanded my knowledge in addiction (drug and alcohol use), dual diagnosis, and personality disorders. Gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible is essential so I can be the best for you. We all need help at some point in our lives, and I would be honored if you would allow me to be part of your healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Usually, the first session is about getting to know you, building rapport, and answering your questions so you know what to expect in our time together. I will ask questions to get to know you better and better understand who you are and why you are here. Everyone is unique, so it is important to me to learn about you and find what works for you. I would be honored if you allowed me to join your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths come from my background, which I will share. My journey as a therapist started long ago in Guadalajara, Mexico, where I was born and raised. I earned a degree in Psychology there because I wanted to help people somehow. I have always felt inclined to be there for others, especially when struggling. Because of that inclination, I strive to be there for others personally and professionally. As a bilingual woman who immigrated to this beautiful country many years later and married a veteran, I understood transitions and how difficult they can be because they are scary and challenging. Later in life, I obtained a master's degree in social work at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I graduated with honors and have been a therapist since. I continue to educate myself to become a better therapist and be there for my clients as we live in a constantly changing world. My personal and professional life experiences are my greatest strengths because I understand transitions, but I also believe we can overcome any obstacles life throws us. We can all learn skills and tools to be the best version of ourselves, even in the most adverse circumstances. We can all achieve a better and more balanced life
