Hi ! I am a licensed independent social worker with supervisory designation (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. I received my master's from The Ohio State University. Most of my experience is with children/adolescents and their families working with them to idnetify thoughts and feelings and how to appropriately express them. I also have experience working with adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment concerns. No matter who you are I will meet you where you are, help you use your strenghts, to become a healthier you and adress the concerns that brought you to counsleing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will go over what brought you to counseling, relevant history, and what you hope to achieve. We will then develop a plan together using your individual strengths and resources.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strenghts are allowing you to be who you are, meeting you where you are, and working with your greatest strengths to create a plan that will work best for you.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you struggling in life, anxiety, depression, adjustment? Are you needing support through a specific time or needing to process a past trauma? I meet my clients where they are and assist them in creating and maintaining stability.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT with adolescents and adults for about 7 years. It is applicable to many different situations including anxiety, depression, and adjustment. Together we will identify any thinking errors and work on replacing them with healthy ways of thinking and coping skills.

Play Therapy

I have been utilizing play therapy for about 6 years. Play therapy helps children express and work through their thoughts and feelings using play. Parent input and involvement is vital throughout this process in working towards a healthier child and improved parent/child relationship. Using what you already have at home we will use play during sessions to allow your child to express and work through thoughts and feelings.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is unique to each person. Together we will discuss how your trauma impacts you and your day to day life. We will use your strengths and resources to help you have a healthier day to day life.
