Alexandra Connor
Hi there, I'm Alex. I believe the most important way I can show up for my clients is with a nonjudgemental perspective. I strive to create a space where it is easy to come forth with anything and all things that you may have been struggling with. I work from a systems perspective, understanding that it is not only our own thoughts, feelings, ideas, and beliefs that impact us, but also those of our environment and even the people around us.

I have been in the mental health field for the past 15 years and have been a therapist for the past seven years. I am a DBT informed therapist as well as WPATH trained. I work mostly with teenagers and young adults typically struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. I work with self harm and suicidal ideation.
First session
I work with a variety of presenting problems and am able to cater goals to meet each individual client need. This can look like managing conflict with teens and parents, managing symptoms of depression/anxiety/trauma. Typically, our goals will be aimed at creating a life worth living that you can continue to grow and build from even after we complete your identified goals. Please know, I have my calendar set for initial sessions to be virtual. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to have your initial session in person and we will set it up.
Strengths
I believe my biggest strength as a therapist is my ability to meet people where they are at. I find I am also able to confront and help others face difficult life situations with gentle support and confrontation.
