I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience providing mental health care to children, adults, and military families. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, self-esteem issues, substance abuse, trauma, and developmental and intellectual disorders. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Lewis & Clark College, and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
I seek to help you make peace with your thoughts, through counseling, by providing a safe and healing space to work through life's difficulties. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work with you to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths, so that you can have a more meaningful life experience. I believe individuals need to be understood as a whole, and assist you with the exploration of situations that impact your overall wellness. I have an interactive approach, and believe in working in partnership with you, utilizing your strengths to help you sort out your challenges and achieve your goals.
I am a person-centered therapist, and utilize a blend of CBT, Gestalt therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and psycho-education.
