I am a licensed clinical social worker based in the state of New York. I received my Masters Degree from Fordham University and have over 10+ years assisting clients with mental health challenges. By equipping clients with practical tools and skills, I empower them to take control of their mental health and various life stressors and make positive changes in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session I will introduce myself and inquire about the reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve from the sessions. This initial discussion helps me to understand your concerns to establish goals for the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

When working with clients, I can quickly assess their situations, identify patterns in their behaviors, and formulate effective treatment plans. Analyzing the underlying issues contributing to my clients' struggles helps me tailor interventions that address their specific needs and promote positive change

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With CBT, I focus on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By incorporating CBT techniques into my practice, I aim to empower clients to take control of their thoughts and emotions. Through my experience with CBT, I have seen significant progress and positive outcomes in clients dealing with various mental health concerns.

Motivational Interviewing

rooted in the belief that individuals have the intrinsic motivation and resources to make positive changes in their lives. Through motivational interviewing, I aim to help clients explore their ambivalence towards change, identify their values and goals, and ultimately find the motivation to take steps towards a healthier and more fulfilling life. I have witnessed remarkable transformations in my clients. For example, I once worked with a client who was struggling with substance abuse but was hesitant to seek help due to fear of judgment. Through motivational interviewing techniques, I was able to guide the client towards recognizing the negative impact of their behaviors on their well-being and help them uncover their intrinsic motivations for change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my psychotherapy practice, I have found the person-centered therapy approach to be incredibly effective in promoting self-discovery and personal growth in my clients. By providing a safe non-judgmental and empathetic environment where the client can explore their feelings and experiences freely I have witnessed significant breakthroughs and positive changes in their lives. This method allows clients to tap into their own inner resources and find their unique paths to healing and self-actualization. It is truly empowering to see clients gain insight, self-awareness, and confidence through the person-centered therapeutic process.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma Informed Care treatment approach allows me to understand the impact of trauma on my client's mental health and well-being. This method emphasizes creating a safe and supportive environment for clients, recognizing the prevalence of trauma, and implementing interventions that promote healing and empowerment. By integrating trauma-informed care into my practice, I am able to better address the root causes of emotional distress and help clients navigate their healing journey effectively.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) method focuses on identifying clients' strengths, resources, and past successes to help them find solutions to their current problems. Rather than delving deeply into the root causes of issues, SFT looks toward the future and empowers individuals to create positive change in their lives. For example, instead of exploring childhood traumas at length, I guide clients to envision their desired outcomes and develop achievable steps to reach those goals.
