(she/her)
Hi, My name is Shukri, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I have experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, life stressors burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is supportive, compassionate, and focused on helping clients feel heard while building practical coping skills and confidence.
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will explore current challenges, goals, strengths, and any areas you would like support with so we can create a plan that feels realistic and helpful to you.
One of my greatest strengths is creating a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. My background in community mental health and social work has allowed me to work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I focus on meeting clients where they are, building trust, and helping them develop practical tools to improve their emotional well-being and daily life.
I enjoy working with adults who are feeling overwhelmed by life stress, burnout, or major life transitions. I also work well with college students and young professionals navigating career decisions, uncertainty, and finding direction. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process challenges, build healthy coping skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward a more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned life overall.
