Hello, my name is Anna Schad. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida specializing in trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, and codependency. Over the years I have worked with teens and adults in all levels of care including residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient. I am passionate about the work I do and love coming alongside my clients to help them break free of the beliefs, toxic shame, and other obstacles that are preventing them from moving forward and being the people they are capable of being. I have extensive experience working with patients of all levels of care who are struggling with all types of eating disorders including but not limited to Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder. I have worked closely with medical and dietary teams over the years to coordinate care for these individuals and am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Using a variety of modalities, I will work with you to gain insight into beliefs, patterns, and emotional biases that may be causing you distress and are preventing you from being able to truly experience your life.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use CBT, DBT, RODBT, Psychodrama, Solution Focused, Inner Child Work and other modalities as needed to address your need. My goal is to help you develop the insight and skills needed to heal from the past and cope with the present. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults. I encourage and welcome family and partner involvement for purposes of psychoeducation, enhanced communication, and helping to create a supportive home environment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have extensive experience working in eating disorder treatment with clients and their families with all eating disorders and am available for in person and zoom sessions and to provide guidance and psychoeducation to those in supportive roles as well I work with teens and adults to help them gain insight into road blocks, learn to work through parts of their pasts that may be holding them back, and to gain self acceptance and begin a forward journey to becoming who they are truly capable of being.
