I believe we are multi-layered complex beings who identify and experience ourselves in multiple ways. Some of the ways I identify are: a life seasoned, white bodied Latina, cis gender, female. Currently, my clientele represents a diverse background of ethnicity, gender, ability, and need. My approach is an interactive, humanistic, strength-based approach. My therapeutic style is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Integrating traditional and modern methodologies along with cultural sensitivity to create a personalized approach tailored to each client. Interested in exploring dreams? Superhero therapy? Brainspotting? In need of a non-gatekeeping ally? I just might be the person you are looking for. With compassion and understanding, we will work together to build on strengths and attain your desired outcomes.
You can expect me to show up, communicate, and listen with compassion, empathy and direction (when needed). We will work collaboratively to grow into a space of strength and understanding. Lesson dis ease, discomfort of undesired outcomes, to identify and grow more desired experiences. I will always be an advocate for you and with you.
My approach to therapy is an eclectic evolving organism. I'm always open to learning so that I can continue to support clients with their evolving needs. Because of this I can offer a blend of traditional talk therapy, somatic explorations, CBT/DBT, and mindfulness practice. These interventions are flexible in traditional alog with non-traditional styles in the form of Superhero therapy (yes! that's a thing), Brainspotting & Fandom intervention and dreamwork. I also recognize sometimes support is needed it the form of short term problem solving for day to day living skills we may have missed out on! Let's do it! I am also able to provide non gate keeping gender affirming letters when requested.
What I have learned during my practice, I work well with the anxiety of others. In particular when it is tied to ADHD. I love to problem solve and enable others to discover their ability to do the same. I try to be a competent ally to BIPOC and LGBTQIA, which means I am constantly seeking education and resources to serve the community.
