Hi! I’m Chelsea. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in providing integrative psychotherapy and EMDR for women. How often have you been told you were “too much” of something-too sensitive, dramatic, needy? How often do you find yourself feeling like you aren’t enough no matter what you do? How often do you avoid conflict even when someone has upset you? Or do you address it then feel guilty for standing up for yourself? How often do you notice imposter syndrome creeping in-doubting your capabilities at work or home? It doesn’t have to be this way. I opened my practice for you-the real, authentic, human, imperfect, incredible you. You don’t have to pretend here. This is a space to heal and grow where you are heard and respected just as you are today. Welcome. I’m glad you’re here!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Therapy with me is a relaxed, collaborative process that relies on our shared knowledge. I honor you as the expert on you and view my experience as a tool to help you through this process. I blend my background in neuroscience research, psychotherapy training, and holistic wellness practices to offer you a modern, inclusive, integrative approach to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I opened my practice for you-the real, authentic, human, imperfect, incredible you. Creating a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported just as you are today is important to me. You don’t have to pretend or hide parts of who you are here. If you're ready to find your way back home to yourself, I am ready to support you. Let's talk!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Women are incredible, and yet, I don’t know a single woman who hasn’t held deep pain and shame about herself at some point; somehow feeling like she is both too much and not enough. Shrinking herself, fighting imposter syndrome, avoiding conflict, feeling guilty for having needs and choosing to care for herself... Maybe you know that feeling too, and maybe that’s why you’re here. It doesn’t have to be this way. You can learn how to move from self-criticism to compassion, rebuild your confidence, and let go of the insecurities that make it so hard for you to see your worth. You can learn how to love yourself and your life again.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

Attachment based therapy focuses on understanding and healing the impact of early childhood attachment experiences on a person's current relationships, aiming to help individuals develop more secure and healthy connections with others by building a trusting therapeutic relationship that mirrors a secure attachment figure; it draws heavily from John Bowlby's attachment theory, which explores how early interactions with caregivers shape our ability to form relationships later in life.

Compassion Focused

Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach that aims to help those who struggle with shame and self-criticism cultivate the skills of self-compassion and other-oriented compassion, which are thought to help regulate mood and lead to feelings of safety, self-acceptance, and comfort. The technique is similar to mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in that it also instructs clients about the science behind the mind-body connection and how to practice mind and body awareness.

EMDR

Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E. EMDR) is a trauma-informed therapy that combines aspects of attachment theory and body-centered therapies with EMDR. It helps clients understand how their attachment patterns and trauma responses may have been helpful in the past, but may now be limiting them.

Feminist

Feminist therapy is a type of psychotherapy that examines how power dynamics and gender shape a person's identity, worldview, and well-being. It's based on the idea that people are affected by societal norms and can learn to look beyond them. Feminist therapy aims to empower people who feel oppressed or silenced by elevating their voices, leading to positive changes within the individual and society.

Somatic

Somatic therapy is a form of body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body and uses both psychotherapy and physical therapies for holistic healing.
