I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 11 years of experience working with individuals and families. I am passionate about helping people overcome personal challenges and barriers that are preventing them from experiencing life in a way that brings them joy. Often another person can see things in us that we have a hard time seeing or understanding about ourselves and our experiences. I am here to help you improve your quality of life in the ways that are most meaningful for you.
In our first session I want to learn about you, why you have taken the step to begin therapy and what you may hope to work on. I will also answer questions you may have about my experience in this field and how I think we may best approach your treatment plan together.
My greatest strength as a provider is being able to see people's strengths and help build an understanding of how to best use them to achieve wellness. I am solution focused and will remain committed to your growth and progress as long as you remain committed to working together.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an approach that helps people to identify thought patterns that may be causing negative emotions, behaviors and experiences in someone's life. CBT focuses on replacing cognitive distortions and learning how to gain a better understanding of what motivates our behavior and how to handle challenges in a way that leads to greater happiness and fulfillment.
