New to Grow
Hello, my name is Michael Prystash. I have worked in the counseling field for 14 years now. I enjoy meeting new people and being a part of their journey. I utilize a humanistic approach as the foundation of a helpful therapeutic relationship. I believe that with the right guidance, support, and illumination of blind spots, we all are capable of knowing what is most conducive for our contentment and capable of seeing it to fruition.
You can expect to understand that we are just two people with the shared goal of your perceived improvement.
Veing flexible and eclectic. Knowing no two people are the same and help does not come through judgment are two beliefs that underly my approach.
Change can be scary, and it requires work. When an individual is ready to take the leap there is going to be someone, somewhere, who is willing and able to be part of the journey.
I believe that we all have particular lenses we view ourselves and situations through. These can help or hinder our sense of well-being and functioning. I believe in the interdependence of thinking, emotion, and behavior. Helping clients obtain/maintain an approach-oriented lifestyle; as well as a realistic lens to view self and situations through, can precipitate optimal responses and overall functioning in life.
