Hi, I’m Miranda. I understand that choosing a therapist can feel like a big, sometimes intimidating step. You want someone who’s not just qualified, but someone who really gets you. My hope is that you’ll feel comfortable, supported, and truly seen in our work together. With 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults. I have met people from all walks of life — supporting them through life transitions, burnout, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship stress, and the complexities of simply being human. I bring both clinical expertise and a deep respect for who you are as a whole person—including your values, cultural identity, and faith. As a Christian, I also love incorporating spirituality and prayer into sessions for those who desire that, but it’s always led by you and your comfort level. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with kindness and walk with you through both the hard and hopeful parts of your journey—you’re in the right place.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and collaborative space where we’ll begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I’ll ask questions to get to know you—your background, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also a time for you to ask questions and share any concerns. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and understood as we start working toward meaningful and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor has given me the tools to support clients through a wide range of challenges. I’ve worked in foster care/child protective services, school settings, and psychiatric facilities supporting individuals navigating trauma, mood disorders, relationship stress, chronic mental health issues, and identity issues. My background in providing clinical supervision also means I’m constantly engaging in reflective practice and professional growth. I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to each session, grounded in evidence-based strategies and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in supporting those navigating depression, anxiety, relationship/family struggles, life transitions, trauma and stress. I offer a compassionate, faith-based space where clinical tools and spiritual values work together to help you balance. If spirituality is not something that feels meaningful to you, I meet you where you're at with an open mind.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge negative thinking, and build practical coping skills. My approach is collaborative and personalized, supporting clients in making lasting, meaningful change.

Christian Counseling

My approach to Christian counseling is rooted in meeting clients where they are—emotionally, spiritually, and personally. I have experience integrating faith-based principles into the therapeutic process for clients who desire it, including Scripture, prayer, and biblical truths that align with their goals and values. I work with clients to explore how their relationship with God can be a source of strength, healing, and identity, while also addressing emotional and psychological needs through evidence-based interventions. Whether faith is central to your life or just one aspect of your journey, I strive to create a space where both clinical insight and spiritual wisdom can work together to support growth and wholeness.

Strength-Based

I incorporate Strengths-Based Therapy by helping clients recognize and build on the resilience, values, and skills they already possess. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I support clients in identifying what’s working and how their strengths can guide healing, growth, and lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) into my practice by helping clients identify and build on their existing strengths, resources, and past successes. Rather than focusing heavily on problems, I guide clients in envisioning their goals and the small, achievable steps that can move them forward. My approach is collaborative and future-oriented—centered around what’s working, what’s possible, and what change might look like in the client’s daily life. SFBT allows me to offer hope and direction while honoring each client’s resilience and unique path to growth.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach by creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen and heard. I’m mindful of how past experiences impact current emotions, relationships, and behaviors. I prioritize trust, collaboration, and pacing therapy in a way that honors each client’s readiness to heal. My goal is to support growth without retraumatization, always centering compassion and empowerment.
