Hello there! Taking the first step to seek support can be scary or even risky, especially if you are a part of a culture that might not be familiar or accepting of mental health. I am familiar with the judgement, pressure, and shame that we bear in attempts to honor our different cultures. Together, we can make meaning out of your experience, explore the problems that weigh you down, and re-tell your story the way you prefer. Whether you are having an existential experience, having conflicts that you thought were resolved but somehow keeps showing up, or is feeling the sadness that awaits every time you look at the news, your experience is valid and there is space for your story to be heard. I hope to provide a respectful space to engage in meaningful conversations with you.
My hope is that you leave feeing like there are alternative stories available to you. That you can be apart of a community that supports the values you hold in this world and feel a sense of belonging. How do we do that? By critiquing the singular stories that has been fed to us: of what it means to be a woman, what it means to be a man, what it means to be a partner and re-write your story.
I practice from a post-modern lens and utilize narrative therapy to guide our conversation.
I believe that the heart of therapy happens in the rich conversations and the relationship that you build with your therapist. In this section, I will pay tribute to the clients I have had the honor of working with. To those apart of the LGBTQ+, AAPI, BIPOC, and LatinX community that gave me the joy of being a therapist, thank you, for contributing to my confidence as a therapist.
