Hello there! I am a LPCC, a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio. I received my Masters in Counseling in Cincinnati in 2007 and have been practicing the last 18 years. I have experience in schools, hospital, private practice and community mental health. My passion is to help those who have experienced trauma. We work together to move towards a life to thrive, and not just survive.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main priority is to create a climate of safety and comfort through introductions and seeing what you want in therapy, as well as what brought you here.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am gentle, intuitive, patient, respectful, and kind. I meet each person where they are and I find joy in walking alongside people in need of support.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients of all ages. My clients are those that want to move forward but tend to feel stuck in past experiences.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed therapy is a strengths-based approach that considers the effects of trauma on a person's well-being and ability to cope. It aims to help people re-establish control of their lives by prioritizing safety and promoting healing. Trauma-informed therapy differs from traditional therapy in that it integrates trauma awareness into every aspect of treatment.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people identify and accept different parts of themselves that make up their mental system. The goal of IFS therapy is to help people heal from trauma by moving toward living from their true selves.

EMDR

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy that helps people process and heal from distressing memories, often associated with trauma. Traumatic events can lead to memories not being fully processed which then leads to distressing symptoms. This treatment method facilitates the brain's inherent system to process the trauma.
