Hello, my name is Ashley, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am intimately aware of the challenges that accompany life's journey, whether it is beginning as a freshman in college, receiving your first job promotion, or planning to start a family. As a mental health advocate and provider, I am dedicated to sharing knowledge and therapeutic tools that empower my clients to gain autonomy over their mental health. My mission as a psychiatric provider is to deliver safe and integrative mental healthcare interventions aimed at identifying the root causes of various mental health conditions. I specialize in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry services. * Currently I do not offer formal neuropsychological assessments or treatment management for ADHD for telehealth clients. All clients seeking ADHD evaluation and neuropsychological testing must be evaluated in person. *PLEASE BE ADVISED, I DO NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED STIMULANTS OR BENZODIAZAPINES FOR VIRTUAL CLIENTS.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first 60–90-minute visit, there will be a focus on building a positive therapeutic alliance between the provider and the client. At this initial session, we will discuss the client’s current psychiatric symptoms, past psychiatric history, social history, and past medical history. The initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation will aid in the formulation of an accurate mental health diagnosis and assist the provider and client with collaborating on an individualized treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Although I have had the opportunity and clinical experience to treat various mental health disorders, the treatment of anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental healthcare treatment are my greatest expertise. I strive to develop the safest, most effective, and uniquely tailored treatment plan for your individualized mental healthcare needs. My kindness, patience, and empathetic treatment approach enable me to build positive and lasting therapeutic provider-patient relationships. Remember that your mental health is a priority, so my priority as a provider is to guide you in achieving your optimal mental well-being.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I provide specialized integrative mental health care interventions for women at every significant stage of their lives. I offer a range of mental health care services for women experiencing challenges with anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, PMDD, PTSD, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. *I'm currently accepting adult clients (ages 18-65) in DE for in-person and telehealth visits. PA clients will be seen virtually.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

As psychiatric provider, I understand the importance of patient education and the benefits my clients receive by having the proper understanding of their mental health conditions. Psychoeducation utilizes evidence-based practice interventions to help clients gain more information about their mental healthcare conditions and to learn about available treatment options.

Supportive

I strive to support all clients with their current mental healthcare needs and bring focus to developing a safe individualized treatment plan.

Integrative

Integrative mental health care interventions, utilize both traditional and complementary and alternative mental health interventions (CAM) to focus on treating the whole person. This approach to mental health care treatment is utilized to identify the root causes of mental health conditions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used and effective form of psychotherapy. It's based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing negative or unhelpful thought patterns, we can positively impact our emotions and actions.
