Hi there! I'm Ashley, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have experience treating various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, sleep disorders, and perinatal mental healthcare treatment. I have been working in the mental health field for nine years. I started my career as an associate degree registered nurse in geriatric psychiatry. Later, I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Wilmington University. I have worked in the crisis and inpatient adult behavioral healthcare settings at my local community hospital, providing acute psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan. I then received a Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. I am a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the American Nurses Association. I currently work in an outpatient practice setting providing mental healthcare to adults (ages 18 to 65) with various mental health disorders. My approach to care focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings and experiences without judgment. I look forward to meeting you soon! Additionally, if the client presents with acute or severe psychiatric symptoms, the client may be referred out to a higher acuity healthcare setting, if we assess that we do not have the resources to safely care for an individual. * Currently I do not offer formal neuropsychological assessments or treatment management for ADHD for telehealth clients. Client must be formally evaluated in person. *Currently I do not prescribe controlled scheduled Stimulants or Benzodiazepines for virtual clients. *I'm currently accepting clients for both virtual and in-person booking options. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first 60-90 minute visit, there will be a focus on building a positive therapeutic alliance between the provider and the client. At this initial session, we will discuss the client’s current psychiatric symptoms, past psychiatric history, social history, and past medical history. The initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation will aid in the formulation of an accurate mental health diagnosis and assist the provider and client with collaborating on an individualized treatment plan.

Although I have had the opportunity and clinical experience to treat various mental health disorders, the treatment of anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental healthcare treatment are my greatest expertise. I strive to develop the safest, most effective, and uniquely tailored treatment plan for your individualized mental healthcare needs. My kindness, patience, and empathetic treatment approach enable me to build positive and lasting therapeutic provider-patient relationships.
