New to Grow
My journey into mental healthcare is deeply personal and rooted in both lived experience and resilience. I was drawn to this field through many of the challenges I have faced and overcome throughout my own life. One of the most transformative moments in my journey occurred after I acquired a disability, an experience that completely shifted my perspective on healing, vulnerability, and emotional wellness. My personal experiences allow me to approach therapy with authenticity, compassion, and a deeper level of connection. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, explore their emotions without judgment, and move toward healing at their own pace. Those experiences ultimately shaped not only my career path, but also the type of therapist I strive to be, which is someone who leads with empathy, values genuine human connection, and understands that healing often begins when people feel supported, empowered, and no longer alone in what they are carrying.
In our first session, my priority is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely comfortable being yourself. Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, so we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. There is no pressure to share everything all at once. My goal is to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment as we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. During this session, we’ll spend time exploring your story, the experiences that have shaped you, and the challenges that may have brought you to therapy. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, or emotional overwhelm, this is a space where your thoughts and feelings are welcome. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, stressors, and areas of growth while also discussing what healing and progress look like for you personally.
I take an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that every individual’s healing journey is unique. I draw from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to provide support that is both compassionate and practical. I help clients develop healthier relationships with difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences while reconnecting with their personal values. My work also focuses on helping clients separate themselves from those experiences, recognize their resilience, and develop a more empowered and compassionate understanding of who they are. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, an evidence-based approach designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR can be especially beneficial for those struggling with trauma, anxiety, adverse childhood experiences, emotional overwhelm, or deeply rooted negative beliefs about themselves.
I work with individuals of all ages who may be carrying emotional burdens that feel overwhelming, exhausting, or difficult to navigate alone. These challenges can stem from childhood trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, or major life transitions that slowly impact confidence, self-esteem, and emotional well-being. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck in survival mode, emotionally drained, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of how to move forward. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel emotionally safe enough to process their experiences openly and honestly. Together, we work to better understand the root of your challenges while building healthier coping skills, emotional balance, and self-awareness. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and empowering, helping clients reconnect with themselves while developing the confidence to navigate life with greater clarity and resilience. As a trauma-informed therapist trained in CBT, ACT, and EMDR, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether we are working through anxiety, unresolved trauma, stress, or life adjustments, I strive to create a space where healing feels possible and sustainable. You do not have to carry everything on your own, and support is available as you work toward healing, growth, and emotional wellness.
