I am a dual-certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 18 years of clinical experience. I started my healthcare career as a critical care nurse. I received my master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati, a post-master's as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Liberty University in Virginia, and a doctorate in nursing from Frontier Nursing University. With my background in primary care and psychiatric mental health, I provide my clients with individualized holistic care, taking into consideration their physical and emotional health. I aim to deliver comprehensive and compassionate mental health care to each client.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be an introductory session aimed at understanding your journey to date. This will include a comprehensive review and evaluation of your medical, psychiatric, and social history, as well as current symptoms, and overall health. Collaboratively, we will assess your needs and develop a personalized treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are informed by my diverse clinical background and years of experience. I am dedicated and passionate in my quest to offer solutions to clients that enable them to live full lives. I am a great listener, compassionate, and open-minded. I am passionate about empowering my clients to be solution-oriented, see beyond their challenges, and believe in themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT with my clients to identify and change negative thought patterns that could be impacting their mental health.

Grief Therapy

Losing a loved one can be very difficult. I use grief therapy to support clients through the process of adjusting to the absence of their loved ones and learn coping skills to move on with their lives while cherishing the memories of those they lost.

Mind-body approach

Mind-body therapy is the foundation to a healthy body and mind. When we understand the connection and gain insight on how to optimize both, then we can live a well-rounded and fulfilled life. As a dually certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I individualize treatment plans from a holistic approach by ensuring that the client's physical and mental conditions are addressed at an optimal level.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to help clients resolve doubts and explore the rewards of change.

Supportive

Everyone is on a different path in life. Each client is different and needs support as they explore their uniqueness and chart a better course for their lives.
