I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I started my practice in 2018. I specialize in treating individuals who are currently dealing with depression, anxiety, irritability and trauma, or who are experiencing stress from a major life transition, such as a recent move, a job loss, or an end of an relationship. I am both compassionate in my approach as well as assist clients with evidenced-based ways to improve mood and satisfaction in life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, you can expect me to complete an intake. An intake is a way for me to get to know you better. It involves learning about what brings you to therapy, how you have been feeling lately, your relationships with friends, family, and/or partner, your upbringing, any medical issues that you have or medications that you are currently taking, your strengths and hobbies, and your goals for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am compassionate and I also listen very well. I'm able to summarize your thoughts and share back with you what you've said, in a way that captures your feelings and maybe even your beliefs about yourself or the way things are. I help clients understand themselves better and help them identify what is and isn't working in their life. I help motivate clients for change as well as offer hope.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work well with clients who are curious about understanding themselves and who are open to making positive changes for themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an evidenced-based method that has been proven effective in treating depression and anxiety. When dealing with difficult or negative situations or events, some thoughts are more helpful and adaptive than others. In CBT, we start to identify adaptive ways of thinking. Often this can help change how we feel and what we do in response to negative situations.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is used to help individuals who have experienced a traumatic event, or multiple traumatic events in their lifees.
