New to Grow
At the heart of my practice is the belief that you possess an incredible capacity for deep growth and healing. I provide a compassionate and collaborative space where you can explore the challenges that stem from anxiety, stress, trauma, and more. It's common to feel like something's missing, or that you're not quite good enough – constantly thinking happiness depends on getting "this" or waiting for "that." But this kind of thinking often leaves us on the receiving end of life, instead of actively shaping it.
We'll start by exploring what brought you to therapy, and then we'll work together to decide on the best path forward for you. Together, we'll uncover your strengths and resources to help you handle challenges and create real, lasting change in your life. My role is to support you on your journey of self-discovery and empowerment, building on what's already working well for you and shifting what isn't.
I am infinitely curious about how the mind works. Understanding our minds is the cornerstone to self-mastery. By unraveling the mechanisms of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, we empower ourselves to choose responses that align with our core values, rather than continue being controlled by reactivity.
I enjoy supporting individuals exploring issues around anxiety, depression, and trauma. I work well with adjustment concerns including life stressors and life transitions, such as college and career changes. As a veteran, I warmly welcome military and veteran populations. Finally, injured athletes and women in peri/menopause hold a special place in my heart. As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, I am going to focus on collaborating with my clients to find actionable and meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps us examine how your thoughts and emotions influence behaviors and overall experience. In our sessions, I'll guide you in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, empowering you to create positive shifts in well-being.
