Grace Cooper

LCSW (she/her)5 years of experience

My name is Grace Cooper, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker proudly serving clients in Naples, FL, and beyond. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, navigating a life transition, or feeling like you’re stuck in an emotional traffic jam, therapy can help, and you don’t have to do it alone. I offer compassionate, client-centered therapy for individuals, couples, and families across all stages of life. My approach is warm, flexible, and down-to-earth - focused on helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Therapy can be a place where you laugh, cry, question everything, and then laugh-cry at the fact that you're in therapy all in the same 45 minutes. I’m here for all of it!

First session

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and start building trust. I’ll ask questions about your background, health, family, and what brought you to therapy so I can get a clear picture of your needs. Moving forward, sessions will be more open, with space to focus on your goals, challenges, and what matters most to you. You’ll also have the chance to ask me anything you’d like to know.

Strengths

Clients often tell me they appreciate my mix of warmth, humor, and practical strategies. I specialize in breaking things down into manageable steps, so you leave each session with insights and tools you can put into practice right away. With experience across private practice, EAPs, and telehealth platforms, I know how to adapt therapy to fit real life. My greatest strength is helping clients feel both supported and equipped to make meaningful changes.

Ideal clients

A little about who I help: Couples - I’m especially passionate about helping couples improve communication, resolve conflict, and rebuild connection - emotionally and physically. Whether you’re feeling misunderstood, stuck in patterns, or struggling with intimacy, we’ll work together to restore closeness and strengthen your partnership. Teens & Young Adults - These years are filled with identity shifts, self-doubt, and big decisions. I help young people navigate self-esteem, life direction, and relationships with the support and tools they need to thrive. Individuals in Transition - Life changes (even the ones we choose) can feel overwhelming. Whether it’s a breakup, career shift, or just that lingering “something’s not right” feeling, I help clients move through uncertainty with clarity and confidence. If you’re ready to get started, scheduling a live session is the best way to build connection and momentum.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we work on reframing unhelpful thinking, building coping strategies, and applying practical tools in everyday life. Clients appreciate that CBT offers clear, actionable steps that make change feel possible.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I integrate DBT skills to support clients in regulating emotions, tolerating stress, and improving communication in relationships. In session, this might look like learning mindfulness exercises, practicing healthy boundary setting, or role-playing difficult conversations. DBT strategies provide balance between acceptance and change, which many clients find empowering.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps clients clarify what truly matters to them and take steps toward those values, even when life feels overwhelming. I use this approach to support clients through transitions, grief, and anxiety, helping them accept difficult emotions without being controlled by them. It’s a flexible method that helps people move forward with confidence.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the heart of my work is a client-centered approach: I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and collaborative. My role is to listen deeply, provide understanding, and reflect strengths so clients can discover their own insights and solutions. This foundation builds trust and allows all other therapeutic tools to be effective.
