Hi! I am Kara. I'm a Licensed board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), proudly serving individuals across Ohio—both virtually and in person. I Graduated with my post Masters Degree from Walden university, I am ANCC board certified specializing in Psychiatry across the lifespan. With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (BSN), my journey has taken me through diverse healthcare settings, including: Community Mental Health, Emergency Department, Inpatient Mental Health, Private practice, Corrections, and Nursing home settings. These experiences have shaped my deep understanding of the challenges many face when navigating mental health. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar, Grief, Alcohol Addiction, Sleep disorders and Overall Natural Wellness. I am committed to delivering evidence-based care with a personalized, human approach—meeting each person where they are on their journey.
Your first appointment is an important step in understanding your unique story and creating a path forward. During our initial assessment, we’ll take time to discuss: Your personal and family history, past and present symptoms, a detailed diagnostic evaluation, your medical history, including any current medications and any potential medical conditions that could be contributing to your symptoms. Before beginning any prescribed treatments, it’s important to rule out any underlying medical concerns. I may also order lab work or additional testing to ensure we have the most accurate information to support your care.
My priority is to treat each of my patients as unique individuals, focusing on holistic care that considers all aspects of your well-being. While medication can be a helpful option, it is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Every treatment plan is created in collaboration—between you and me—based on your unique needs, preferences, and goals. Together, we’ll explore the most effective path forward, whether that includes medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches. I believe that everyone has a past, and my role is not to judge, but to be a partner in your journey to a brighter future. I look forward to working with you and supporting you every step of the way. Your voice matters. Your care should reflect you.
My mission is to provide the individualized attention and compassionate care you deserve, while helping guide you toward a more balanced and successful life. Are you struggling with daily challenges, finding it difficult to grab a hold on to life, having goals but somewhere you lost the motivation or energy to push forward? Whether you’re seeking personalized care, emotional support, or guidance for general health and wellness, you’ve come to the right place. I especially welcome Medical Professionals, Community Workers, and Veterans who are seeking private, discreet services. You are seen, supported, and honored. "Stop The Stigma."
