I am a licensed, board certified advance FNP and a PMHNP (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner). I provide medication management for individuals 6 years and older. I have about 6 years of experience in mental health nursing caring for hundreds of patients with a diverse range of mental health diagnosis in internal and family practice. My areas of expertise include depressive disorders, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD), Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD.
Visits take about 60-90 minutes depending on what presenting symptoms are. The initial session is dedicated to discussing specifies, symptoms and reason for treatment. I have will have you fill out the intake forms on my EHR however, in addition to Grow's intakes. I want to emphasize that I value your input and encourage you to guide the session as we explore your thoughts and experiences. This interactive approach will allow us to build rapport and trust while enabling me to create a tailored plan for our future sessions.
My objective goal is to make a diagnosis and work with my patients to develop a management plan for their treatment and recovery. I am drawn to helping and improving lives of those in underserved communities. I believe in providing non-judgmental, empathetic, safe and compassionate care. I believe in treating a person as a whole with a holistic approach to care thus valuing each patient’s mental, emotional, spiritual needs. I enjoy working with the underserved community and find that there is much needed mental health help needed with this population. I work with children adolescents, teens, adults, and elderly adults in behavioral mental health.
