New to Grow
You've read the books. You sat through therapy before with someone good at it, and you can name your own patterns better than almost anyone in the room. Then the same patterns keep showing up anyway. So you keep everything running: the job, the kids, the appointments nobody else remembers. You're good at managing all of it except how you actually feel. At home you're short with the people you love most, and then you're angry at yourself about it. Someone asks how you're doing and you tell them you're fine. Understanding why you do this isn't the same as being free of it... and you're ready to be free of it.
Real healing starts with safety. In our first session, there’s no pressure to tell your whole life story or perform. We’ll go at your pace, focusing on getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. Here is what working together looks like: • Build Safety & Trust: Establishing a secure, non-judgmental space first. • Understand the Core: Unpacking what’s driving current stress and survival patterns. • Develop Practical Tools: Equipping you with real-time coping strategies for daily life. • Process Deeper Root Causes: Utilizing EMDR and trauma-focused methods when you feel ready.
My role isn’t to tell you who you are or try to "fix" you—you aren't broken. Instead, I view my job as holding the flashlight while we gently explore what’s underneath the stress, fear, and survival patterns holding you back. This is a true partnership built on trust, safety, and mutual respect. I bring over 20 years of clinical experience, deep empathy, and specialized training in EMDR, somatic processing, and relational care to help you feel genuinely supported every step of the way. Underneath the fear and the stress is a person you'd recognize. My work is helping you find her one small win at a time, because the small wins are the actual steps. You'll have patience left at home. When someone asks how doing, you'll answer honestly... and mean it. Message me here and tell me what keeps repeating. We'll find it out together.
I work best with individuals who are looking for a genuine, compassionate space where they can feel heard without judgment. Earning your trust is my top priority. If you're ready to break free from old patterns and explore deeper healing, I am here to hold space for you. This is your life, and I view therapy as a true partnership focused on helping you find lasting peace and a healthier way forward.
Often, when a person experiences a traumatic event, their body tells the story that the mind cannot. EMDR helps speak to those parts of your mind and body that hold the trauma and anxiety.
You've gone through something. You have a story no one knows about or understands. You don't have to hold it alone or let it dictate your life. You can heal.
Trusting others can be difficult especially when you've been in bad relationships (romantic, friendships, family, etc). Learning to trust yourself will lead to learning how to tell if you can trust someone else.
Morals and values are guiding principals when we are young. Often times, we learn it from our caregivers or community. These values can ground us when making difficult decisions.
Understanding the "why" behind the behavior or thinking can be freeing. This is only the beginning.
