I am an open and compassionate person who values honesty and kindness when working with people. I've been helping people with mental health and substance use struggles for over 30 years and believe it is never too late to work on yourself and try again.

Strengths
I believe my use of compassion, acceptance and humor makes me stand out as a therapist. I like to focus on people's strengths to encourage them to challenge themselves
Ideal clients
There is no ideal client, however, I believe I can be a help to any person who is transitioning into a new life stage or someone who needs guidance in a certain area of her life. A young adult who is not sure what he wants to do with his life and feels pressure from family to get his life "together." Or a middle-aged woman who is contemplating divorce after being married 25 years. Or a person in the LGBTQI community who feels lost and unsure how to approach family with their truth.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered and humanistic approach in therapy so that I can meet the person where he/she is. I use empathic understanding in order to see the world as you see it. I provide acceptance and support without judgment and I try to be as authentic and transparent as possible in my role as a therapist.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Although I employ acceptance with non-judgment, I will also encourage you to stay present while experiencing difficult emotions. I use mindfulness strategies and will challenge you to take committed action toward your values.
