Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in the state of Texas. I was born and raised in California, and moved to Texas in high school. I attended the University of the Incarnate Word, earning a BA in Psychology with minors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I started working in residential care for children after college, and learned that I work really well with young people experiencing trauma. I earned my MSW from the University of Texas San Antonio, and promptly began working on my clinical license. During my time between my LMSW and LCSW, I worked at a group practice where my clients ranged from 9-55 years old. I am well versed in helping people experiencing the following: Adolescent Issues Adverse Childhood Experiences Anxiety Body Image Issues Codependency Depression Familial Issues Bipolar Life Changes Relationship Issues Self Esteem/Confidence Issues Self Injury Stress Substance Use Issues

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a brief introduction, and then a whole lot of questions about your life up until this point. I will let you know when I have "hard questions" coming next and rest assured, I will not make you share anything you are uncomfortable with... since we will basically be strangers at this point! I want you to only share what you feel comfortable with, but know that it is much more helpful for me to have a "full picture" before we get started working together.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Narrative Therapy. I often utilize books and/or cards and worksheets when it will be helpful for the client.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work best with teens and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and self injury. I have found that young people respond well to my non-judgemental, easy going attitude. I allow clients to be authentic and don't make them feel like they "have to be happy." I meet clients where they are, and have an innate ability to match energy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am open to anyone ages 10-64, but find I work best with teens and young adults under 35.
