Summarily, I am licensed in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 1998. Also Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) I have a doctorate degree in Family Counseling and have provided professional services for over 27 years. Provided therapy to individuals impacted by the tragic 911 Pentagon attack focusing on traumatic loss, emotional recovery. Provide Pre-marital and Post-Marriage therapy.
First session is mainly acquiring a family history workup, reviewing confidentiality limits, discovering primary purpose according to clients understanding for seeking therapy.
With years of practical experience, academic exposure, theological foundation and over 45 years as a husband and parent I have an wide range of resources to meet most challenges individuals face.
Best clients are those who are entering young adulthood that are capable to not only communicate emotions, feelings and actions of self and others are creating a degree of dysfunction. Clients who are over 18 are more available to hear and properly process the therapy approaches utilized in my approaches in the clinical setting. The counseling approaches require assignments, thought analysis, and determination.
