In our first session together, here's what you can expect

n the first therapy session, you can expect a warm and collaborative environment where the primary focus is on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. The initial session is an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy, express your goals, and discuss any concerns you may have. I will likely ask questions to gather relevant information about your background, current life circumstances, and the specific challenges you're facing. Additionally, we'll discuss the therapeutic process, including confidentiality and the expectations of the therapeutic relationship. This session serves as a foundation for understanding your unique needs, preferences, and objectives, allowing us to collaboratively chart a course for your therapeutic journey. Feel free to ask questions, share at your own pace, and know that our work together is tailored to support your personal growth and well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, my strength lies in fostering a supportive and transformative space for clients. I prioritize empathy, ensuring genuine understanding and compassion. Exceptional listening skills allow me to attune to clients' stories, creating an open and safe environment. I adapt therapeutic interventions to meet individual needs, emphasizing collaboration and authenticity. Cultural sensitivity is paramount, respecting diverse perspectives. Grounded in evidence-based practices, I guide clients on their journey of self-discovery and growth, aiming to build a strong therapeutic alliance and empower clients to achieve their goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am most effective in working with individuals who are ready for change. They have a desire to deepen their self-awareness, gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors, and are open to exploring the underlying factors influencing their lives. They are open to sharing their experiences, engaging in honest conversations, and actively participating in the therapeutic process. This positive mindset allows for growth and optimal healing.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I have utilized this treatment method to help clients understand attachment styles and patterns in their present life while also highlighting how their early attachments contributed to current healthy and maladaptive attachments. I facilitate emotional regulation and attempt to repair wounded attachments. The goal is to help cerate secure attachments in clients life.

Compassion Focused

Clients are guided through exercises and practices that help them develop and strengthen their compassionate mind. This involves cultivating feelings of warmth, kindness, and understanding toward oneself and others.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This is my baseline modality used throughout most of my work. I show my clients unconditional positive regard, empathy, active listening, authenticity, but above all regard them as an expert of their own life.

Trauma Informed Care

I strive to provide a safe and compostable environment. I am trauma informed and aware of how trauma impacts the body, mind, and spirit. The client is encouraged to collaborate and be an active participant of treatment. We explore triggers and establish grounding techniques and if warranted a safety plan. We also explore current coping methods while simultaneously building resilience.
