Hi there, I am Jan. Are you looking for a therapist who understands where you are coming from and helps you discover an effective and meaningful life? I have been a therapist in many different capacities for 30 years. I enjoy working with all ages and have a vested interest in working with women and relationship issues, families and couples struggling to find a balance, and individuals who struggle with personality challenges. I have a strong background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am also trained in EMDR. Whatever it is you are working through or dealing with in your life, I will do my best to employ the most compassionate, current and effective evidence-based therapies. I am open to new and current possibilities for client-centered care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will do an intake. This is a session where you would talk about some of the reasons you are seeking therapy. This is also where we will discover if you have any questions about my experience in the mental health field and if you have and questions about my particular experiences in the field.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is I listen. I have a compassion for anyone Who is struggling in their lives because life is not always easy or fair? I enjoy seeing a client grow and prosper, feeling and thinking in a more positive way as you create a life worth living.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients who are motivated to make changes in their lives. I also love working with clients who are searching for meaning in their lives and want to change the direction, so that they can live a life worth living.
