I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I received my PhD., in Marriage and Family Therapy from Barry University in Florida. II have worked with survivors of Domestic Violence and worked in my private practice with clients suffering from grief and loss and trauma. I was an adjunct professor for 7 years teaching Master level therapist at Webster University.
First session
Our first session will involve getting to know each other and my learning about you and your needs and expectations. We will identify what you want to work on in therapy and we will work together to identify what approach will work best for you.
Strengths
I have trained Master level therapists at the University for 7 years. I have worked with domestic violence survivors, as well as in a psychiatric hospital setting with a variety of clients and their issues. I have worked with trauma and grief clients as well as clients dealing with change of life issues, learning to match my approach to their needs, building on change to help them move forward.
Ideal clients
I love working with clients to help them find the best part of themselves. I enjoy the journey of learning about and listening to each client, and being a part of helping them identify what is keeping them stuck and seeing them them discover the way out of where they are to where they want to be. It is an amazing process. I like to match my therapeutic approach to your specific needs. I'm willing to change the course of therapy to address your concerns. Therapy is an individual experience, not a cookie cutter process. I want to learn your unique experiences and build our relationship around what will work for you.
