About me

I am a psychotherapist who offers a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to healing. I specialize in working with adults navigating mood disorders such as anxiety and depression as well as trauma, grief, and personality disorders. I draw from evidence-based practices such as classic cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I help clients build emotional insight, resilience, and meaningful change. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered in your growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions about your history, current challenges, and what support looks like for you. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel seen and heard without judgment. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, just come as you are. This session is about getting to know each other and beginning to build a connection that supports your healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often share that they feel genuinely understood and emotionally safe in our work together. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence and a deep understanding of complex emotional and relational patterns. My strengths lie in helping clients increase self-awareness, regulate intense emotions, and shift long-standing behaviors, especially in the context of trauma and personality dynamics. Using evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and ACT, I help clients develop practical tools while also exploring the deeper roots of their struggles for lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who want to better understand themselves and make meaningful, lasting changes. Many of my clients experience overwhelming emotions, challenging relationships, anxiety, depression, or the effects of past trauma. Others are exploring identity, self-worth, or personality patterns that feel limiting or painful. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or emotionally reactive, I offer a collaborative, reflective space to help you gain clarity, develop new tools, and build a more balanced and authentic life.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am certified (C-DBT) in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and utilize DBT to assist clients with emotional dysregulation, distress tolerance skills building, and improving interpersonal skills. This treatment method is especially beneficial for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), borderline personality disorder, (BPD), anxiety, and self-harming behaviors.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based therapy is especially effective in the treatment of anxiety, emotional dysregulation, distress tolerance, stress, grief, PTSD, and depression. I utilize mindfulness based therapy which helps us to be more intentionally aware, engaged, and present with what is happening in the moment. It involves being in the moment. I often say, "When we have one foot in the past and one foot in the future, we should on today."

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) involves helping one understand how thoughts lead to feelings and how we can examine our beliefs to better understand how they distort our thoughts, which often lead to negative feelings. Thoughts and feelings lead to behaviors. CBT helps to develop practical ways to identify, challenge, and replace unhelpful response patterns with more adaptive, healthy, feelings, thoughts and behaviors. I utilize CBT in the treatment of depression, anxiety, borderline personality, and bipolar disorders.
