I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received my MSW from University of Illinois Chicago/Jane Addams School of Social Work. I have been working with individuals aged 13+ as well as couples in identifying their areas of concerns, developing a meaningful treatment plan and goals, and helping facilitate their journey at their pace. I believe therapy is your personal journey and I see my role as a facilitator, here to help you along the way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will simply begin the process of cultivating a rapport and getting to know each other, as well as the current issues being faced, some family of origin information, when applicable, and your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel I am very compassionate and understanding. I allow clients to progress at a speed that is comfortable to them while not having a 'cookie cutter' approach to therapy, or a pre-planned agenda for our work. My life experiences enables me to connect organically with my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using this modality for the last 5 years and find much value in helping clients understand how their thoughts impact their emotions and subsequent actions/behaviors.

Attachment-based

I find this modality helpful in establishing a deeper understanding of interpersonal strengths and weaknesses.

Compassion Focused

Meeting clients where they are is imperative to establishing a trusting relationship from which grow and emerge.

Couples Counseling

I see couples in my practice and focus on deep emotional trauma and wounds as well as trust and communication issues as a means to strengthen the marital/couple's relationship.

Integrative

I recently became certified as a CIMHP and see much value in treating the whole person for a stronger and well rounded approach.
