Tosheta Greenfield
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner passionate about helping adolescents and adults improve their mental health and overall well-being. I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participate in their treatment. By combining evidence-based therapy with medication management when appropriate, I help individuals manage symptoms, build resilience, and work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
First session
During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to treatment. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, personal and family history, medical history, medications, and any previous experiences with therapy or psychiatric treatment. I want to understand not only the challenges you are facing, but also your strengths, goals, and what you hope to gain from treatment. This is a collaborative, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. If medication management is appropriate, we will discuss treatment options, potential benefits, risks, and answer any questions you may have. I also incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches and coping strategies to support your progress. By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your symptoms, initial treatment recommendations, and a plan for moving forward. My goal is to ensure that you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your mental health journey.
Strengths
I bring empathy, active listening, and a personalized, evidence-based approach to each session. By integrating psychotherapy with medication management when appropriate, I provide comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel empowered, understood, and equipped with practical tools to improve their mental health and overall well-being.
Ideal clients
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, trauma, and life transitions. I am best suited for clients who are ready to actively participate in their care and are seeking a collaborative, compassionate approach. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space and integrate evidence-based therapy with medication management to help clients achieve symptom relief, build resilience, and improve overall quality of life.
