Hi, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner currently practicing in the state of Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have been a nurse for over 13 years. I have worked in Oncology, rehab and psychiatry. I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. I am currently focusing on adults. I approach mental health management with a person-centered and holistic perspective, recognizing that mental health is influenced by a multitude of factors, including biological, psychological, social, and environmental aspects. I collaborate closely with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, goals, and strengths. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, validated, and empowered to take an active role in their own mental health journey.
The first visit involves asking you questions about your emotional well-being, sleep patterns, appetite, energy levels, and any other relevant aspects of your life. I then work collaboratively with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. This plan may include a combination of medication management, therapy, lifestyle modifications, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to your specific needs and goals.
By actively listening and validating my patients’ experiences, I strive to foster a sense of trust and understanding. I believe in the power of truly hearing and acknowledging each person’s unique journey, as this forms the basis for a collaborative and individualized treatment plan.
