I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Since 2006, I have held a Mental Health Counseling License for the State of Florida. In addition to my clinical work, I have had the privilege of serving as a Clinical Supervisor, providing guidance and support to mental health programs, interns, volunteers, and administrative staff. With over 30 years of experience in the field, I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey towards improved mental well-being. Being fluent in both English and Spanish allows me to effectively connect with clients from diverse communities and cultures.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach to therapy is rooted in a client-centered perspective. I draw upon evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Motivational interviewing, among others. By creating a warm and welcoming environment, I aim to establish a safe space where clients feel comfortable opening up and exploring their concerns at their own pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

"I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate their mental health challenges and strive to empower my clients to become the best versions of themselves. With empathy and support, I am dedicated to serving the community and providing guidance to those in need of mental health therapy. Together, we can work towards building a brighter and more fulfilling future."

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is based upon the idea that how you think determines how you feel and how you behave. Using the Cognitive behavioral model in my practice you will understand how thoughts shape how you feel and how they impact your life in a significant way. Once you become aware of your own irrational thoughts you will learn to replace them to new, healthy alternatives. Finally, being in control of how you feel.
