As a therapist, I am dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I strive to build a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. With a client-centered approach, I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT, motivational interviewing, and attachment theory to tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs. My ultimate goal is to help clients build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster meaningful change in their lives.
I look forward to assisting you on your journey of growth and self-exploration by helping to identify goals you would like to achieve. I intend on working with you to identify and expand on your strengths and help to apply them in overcoming life's many obstacles.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a strong, trusting rapport with clients. I strive to make each of my client’s feel safe and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. I am skilled in listening with empathy and understanding, which allows me to connect deeply with individuals and help them feel heard. In using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I am able to adapt to each client’s unique needs and goals. Additionally, I am commitment to fostering empowerment in others and am dedicated to continuous growth as a professional to be the best I am able to be for others seeking support and guidance.
I have currently been working most often with adults, ages 20-50, who are currently working on self-discovery and wanting a change in their approaches to life challenges. I work with client who are eager to work on and improve their personal growth and are seeking to identify and learn the tools and strategies needed to succeed. Client's most often come to me feeling stuck, anxious and at times overwhelmed with their circumstances with work, relationships and/or family dynamics.
I utilize CBT with client to explore how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected. In doing so, this helps to identify and challenge negative thought patters that contributed to emotional distress. By recognizing and modifying distorted thinking, individuals can develop healthier coping strategies, improve their emotional responses, and change behaviors that reinforce negative cycles.
Attachment theory is used in therapy to explore how early relationships with caregivers shape an individual's emotional patterns, behavior, and relationships throughout life. In therapy, I will help you identify attachment styles—secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—and assist you in understanding how these patterns influence current relationships and emotional well-being. I will help you to process past attachment experiences, develop healthier emotional responses, and help you in building a more secure connections with others.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered, collaborative approach used in therapy to help individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about behavior change. I use MI most often in the form of open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmation to create a supportive environment where clients can articulate their reasons for change and strengthen their motivation.
Using TF-CBT with clients, I work with them to identify and challenge negative thoughts and feelings related to traumatic experiences. I incorporates elements such as psychoeducation, relaxation techniques, emotional regulation, and trauma narrative building, allowing the client to gradually process the trauma in a safe environment. By addressing both the emotional and cognitive impacts of trauma, TF-CBT helps individuals develop healthier coping strategies, improve their sense of safety, and reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
