Thank you for reaching out. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition, I have a Ph.D. in counseling from the University of Southern California (USC). I often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These are used efficiently with patient feedback. I have been in a very successful practice for the last 10 year and wish to continue to Grow.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. This is usually performed by direct questions about the client's concerns. Further discussions will then center around those concerns. The first session is warm and caring. The metrics outlined by the client will be discussed.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I would describe my communication style as I emphasize support and active listening in a warm and safe environment. I am very flexible as my goals vary with each individual, depending on their specific concerns. Goals are often evolving during therapy. I first worked in Education for a number of years. Even though I loved my work, I felt I could make a difference working directly with individuals. With my Doctorate in hand, I proceeded to work in Counseling.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My usual clients have been either individuals with anxiety, moderate depression, or difficulty coping with Activities of Daily living OR couples with ongoing conflicts and relational issues. They may or may not have had previous therapy. Often, with couples, professional exercise questionnaires are employed. Goals are often discussed in the initial sessions and are re-evaluated continually throughout follow up sessions.
