I am an LPCC from Ohio with a bachelor's from The Ohio State University and a Mater's from Kent State University. I love working with an eclectic case load, primarily enjoying working with teens and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Being queer myself, I feel like I am able to connect and understand the array of issues that present. I enjoy work most when I have clients that are as invested in their progress as I am.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I enjoy getting to know my clients in a relaxed manner. I value my clients feeling safe and comfortable. While getting to know my client, I take this time to explore how they would like for this experience to proceed, ensuring that they know this is a road we'll travel together. I work to build trust and give clients the opportunity to get to know me as well.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe the environment that I establish with clients is one of the most important aspects of my work. I highly value authenticity and clients having the ability to show up and share openly without fear. I ensure that my clients don't question my support for them, offering genuine care from a humanistic standpoint.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is foundational in complementing and working with other modalities to target unhelpful patterns, bringing awareness to the interaction of thoughts, behaviors, and feelings.

Attachment-based

I assist clients in exploring relational stressors and issues through attachment theory lens. I enjoy informing clients of attachment theory to increase their awareness to relational patterns and provide guidance to resolving these issues.

EMDR

I utilize EMDR to target an array of issues, primarily those that are traumatic in nature, to assist clients to process emotionally and cognitively through this experience. With the use of EMDR, clients reports less distress and an increased sense of adaptability once memory feels resolved.

Trauma Informed Care

I work diligently with clients to create an environment that is safe and built on the foundation of trust. I approach clients with curiosity and empathy, understanding the impact of trauma on the mind and body. I work collaboratively with clients to promote healing from a supportive, non-judgmental stance.

Polyvagal Therapy

PVT aids in developing client awareness to triggers and glimmers that affect our wellbeing beginning at the nervous system. Through understanding the influence of experience on our brain and body, we can promote regulation as well as connection to others.
