Hello, I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Mid Minnesota. I received my Master’s degree from Adler Graduate School and have been practicing therapy for about eight years. I work with individuals navigating life’s many transitions and challenges, and I aim to offer a space that feels supportive, respectful, and grounded. My approach is relational, person-centered, and strength-based, meaning I focus on building a genuine connection with you while helping you tap into your own resilience and inner wisdom. I also use motivational interviewing and psychoeducation to support insight and empower you with tools for growth. I believe therapy should be a collaborative journey—where you feel heard, accepted, and supported as you move forward on your own terms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions so we can get to know each other. Then, I’ll invite you to share the specific challenges you’re facing right now. This conversation will help me understand your unique situation and create a personalized plan to guide our work in the sessions ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and accepted. I believe in approaching therapy as a collaborative partnership, empowering each person to find their own path toward growth and healing. Drawing from a variety of approaches—including person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, relational therapy, and strength-based work—I tailor my methods to meet each client’s unique needs and readiness for change. I am skilled at deep listening and reflecting what clients share in a way that helps them gain new insights and clarity. Throughout our work, I focus on highlighting strengths and resilience, fostering hope and confidence even during challenging times. With eight years of clinical experience and a strong educational foundation, I provide grounded, trustworthy support to help clients navigate life’s complexities with greater self-awareness and empowerment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is thoughtful, open, and ready—maybe not ready to have it all figured out, but ready to start exploring. They might feel stuck in old patterns, worn down by stress or self-doubt, or simply unsure of what comes next. They’re often the ones who’ve spent years caring for others—parents, helping professionals, caregivers—who are now realizing they need space to care for themselves. I also enjoy working with young adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions, as well as those who have experienced trauma and are seeking a safe, supportive space to reclaim their story. What all my favorite clients have in common is a willingness to show up with honesty and curiosity, even when things feel hard. They value having a therapist who listens without judgment, helps them see their strengths, and walks alongside them as they build a life that feels more aligned, connected, and true to who they are.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

In our work together, I use a style of therapy called Motivational Interviewing. This approach is all about working with you as a partner to explore what’s important to you and to help you make changes that feel right for your life. Rather than telling you what to do or pushing you toward decisions, I’ll support you in discovering your own reasons for change—reasons that matter to you. We’ll have open, nonjudgmental conversations where I listen closely to your thoughts, help you sort through any mixed feelings, and reflect back what I hear so you can gain clarity. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to help guide the process, support your strengths, and encourage confidence in your ability to move forward. Whether you’re feeling uncertain, stuck, or just not sure where to start, this approach is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In our sessions, I use a person-centered approach to therapy, which means I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and accepted just as you are. I believe that when people are given the right environment—one filled with empathy, authenticity, and respect—they naturally move toward growth and healing. Rather than directing or advising, I’ll walk alongside you, listening deeply and helping you connect with your own inner wisdom. This approach honors your unique experiences and trusts in your ability to find the answers that are right for you. The focus is on building a genuine, respectful relationship where you can explore whatever you’re feeling, without fear of judgment or pressure.

Psychoeducation

As part of our work together, I incorporate psychoeducation—which simply means helping you understand more about the issues you’re facing and how they affect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that knowledge is empowering, and when you have a clearer understanding of things like anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship dynamics, it can reduce confusion, increase self-awareness, and make change feel more manageable. Whether it’s sharing information about how the brain responds to stress, explaining therapeutic tools, or exploring the impact of past experiences, I’ll provide insights in a way that’s easy to understand and directly relevant to your goals. My intention is never to overwhelm, but to offer helpful information that supports your healing and gives you tools to make informed choices about your mental health.

Relational

In our work together, I use a relational approach to therapy, which means I place a strong emphasis on the relationship we build in the therapy room. I believe that healing happens through connection, and that the patterns we experience in relationships—whether supportive or painful—often show up in different areas of our lives, including in therapy. By creating a safe, respectful, and authentic relationship with you, we can explore how past and present relationships have shaped your sense of self and your ways of relating to others. I’ll be fully present with you, not just as a therapist but as a real person, and we’ll use our connection as a space to understand emotional patterns, build trust, and create new ways of experiencing closeness, boundaries, and self-expression. This collaborative, mutual process supports deeper insight and long-lasting emotional growth.

Strength-Based

In our work together, I use a strength-based approach, which means we focus not just on what’s difficult or painful, but also on your inner strengths, resilience, and the resources you already have. I believe that every person has unique qualities, experiences, and abilities that can support healing and growth—even if those strengths don’t always feel obvious in the moment. Rather than seeing you through the lens of a problem or diagnosis, I aim to highlight what’s working, what you’ve overcome, and what’s meaningful to you. Together, we’ll build on these strengths to help you navigate challenges, make empowered choices, and move toward the life you want. This approach is hopeful, collaborative, and designed to help you recognize your own capacity for change and self-leadership
