I began my interest in Clinical Social Work after working as a nurse in the Addiction field. My training in the US Army and working in a variety of clinical settings set the stage for my education in Social Work. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Western Carolina University with a concentration in Substance Abuse. I have been licensed and practicing since 2016 and treat middle age to older adults and couples. My goal is to partner with you and build on your strengths to create insights for managing emotions. Working together we can create new thinking patterns and behaviors so you can have the life you want and deserve.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, background information and then dive into specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are a supportive direct approach coupled with an open mind. I believe I learn from my clients as much as they learn from me and partner together to create change. By practicing this way I create meaningful working relationships which allow clients greater success in their treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used and evidence-based form of psychological treatment that helps people identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses. It's practical, structured, and focused on the “here and now,” although it can also explore how past experiences affect current thinking.
