Hello, and welcome. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) committed to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care across the lifespan. I work collaboratively with clients to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and mood disorders. My approach combines evidence-based treatment with empathy and respect, creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful, lasting wellness.

First session

Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you in for care. I'll ask questions about your current symptoms, mental health, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals so I can gain a complete understanding of your needs. Together, we'll review treatment options, discuss any recommendations, and create a personalized plan to support your mental health and well-being.

Strengths

My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and patient-centered, integrating medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing. I prioritize understanding the whole person and tailoring treatment plans to individual goals, values, and clinical needs. What stands out is my focus on strong therapeutic rapport and shared decision-making, which enhances engagement and treatment adherence. This approach supports meaningful symptom improvement, improved functioning, and sustainable long-term mental wellness.

Ideal clients

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am best positioned to serve adolescents and adults seeking comprehensive mental health care that integrates psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapeutic support. I work with individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, stress, sleep disturbances, and other emotional or behavioral challenges that impact daily functioning and overall well-being. Many of my clients are looking for clarity about their symptoms, effective treatment options, and practical strategies to improve their mental health. Some may be navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, academic or workplace stress, or challenges with self-esteem and emotional regulation. Others seek support in managing chronic mental health conditions and maintaining long-term stability. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I partner with clients to understand their unique experiences, develop personalized treatment plans, and empower them to take an active role in their care. Through a combination of medication management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients build coping skills, improve emotional resilience, and achieve meaningful progress toward their goals. I work particularly well with individuals who are motivated to understand themselves better, improve their mental and emotional health, and create lasting positive change. Whether a client is seeking relief from distressing symptoms, greater emotional balance, improved relationships, or enhanced functioning at school, at work, or at home, I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where healing and growth can occur.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the primary treatment approaches I use in my practice because it is structured, evidence-based, and adaptable to a wide range of client concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma-related symptoms, and behavioral challenges. In my practice, CBT is integrated into medication management visits when appropriate, allowing for brief, focused intervention that reinforces pharmacotherapy. I also use CBT as part of a stepped- care model, determining when patients would benefit from referral to structured psychotherapy, versus when targeted CBT- informed interventions can be delivered within medication follow-ups. Outcome monitoring is central to my approach, and I utilize standardized rating scales to track symptom trajectories and guide treatment adjustments. My use of CBT is collaborative, measurement-based, and individualized, with an emphasis on improving insight, reducing symptom burden, and enhancing long-term self-management skills.
