Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and I will gather psychosocial history. Together, we explore expectations, as well as identify your specific challenges and goals for treatment. This will help to identify options and strategies you can use to reach those goals, including what can be done in the "now".

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I provide an environment that is nonjudgmental, empowering, and honest. I will strive to help you in discovering, or perhaps rediscovering, your own strengths.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Therapy is not a "one size fits all" and commitment to doing the work is essential. My clients are eager to make improvements and we will work together to begin developing and/or fine-tuning the necessary skills to make your goals your reality.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of psychotherapy that can help individuals learn to manage intense emotions, cope with challenging situations, an improve their relationships. DBT combines opposite ideas, such as acceptance and change, to teach individuals that it is possible to achieve both goals. DBT focuses on helping individuals accept the reality of their lives and behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including behaviors that are unhelpful.
