Hi! I'm honored to be in the business of helping people maximize their potential. We do not recall asking to be born, yet we are often required to navigate families, communities, school systems and other establishments that we would not choose for ourselves. Let's work together to devise a plan for your life that brings peace, joy and self-mastery. My specialities include helping people to alleviate experiences with Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress, Addiction, family dysfunction and racial and ethnic issues. I help by creating a safe space that makes it possible for us to explore underlying issues and work towards developing strategies for making your life a more pleasurable experience. You deserve a judgment-free zone where you feel heard and understood. Offer yourself the opportunity to see if we may build an effective therapeutic relationship - one that facilitates making your life a PLEASURABLE experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At your first session, you can expect a comprehensive assessment (CA) that includes exploration of who or what has encouraged you to seek therapy. You are welcomed to put the CA off until the next session if you have an issue that requires immediate attention.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I offer a JUDGEMENT FREE SAFE SPACE that encourages clients to LET . . . IT . . . ALL . . . HANG . . . OUT😳

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is ANYONE who is willing to consistently do THE WORK of maximizing their potential. My offers include homework assignments and song titles (if necessary)! Together: We will identify the underlying issue, develop issue-resolving strategies, and set measurable goals that we will periodically follow up about. I am open to suggestion when clients tell me that a particular style of therapy or intervention works for them.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy (typically) explores how childhood experiences influence current behavior patterns. I will help you identify any unresolved trauma that may be subconconnciously preventing you from having a pleasurable life experience. Sometimes people do not even realize that their current behavior patterns are impacted by unresolved childhood trauma.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT involves the identification and resolution of negative or distorted thinking patterns. Our work together may therefore include us dissecting specific examples of unpleasant experiences and exploring strategies for more healthy alternative behavior.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT involves helping people make the distinction between fact and fiction in order to achieve less intense feelings (when unnecessary), reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships with Self and others. Our work together is likely to include dissecting specific examples of unpleasant experiences, making distinctions between your feelings and facts, determining if there is any overlap, and learning and implementing coping skills that reinforce a pleasant life experience.
