New to Grow
With a dedicated career in social work, I have found that providing therapy is both professionally and personally rewarding, offering the privilege of helping others better themselves every day. I believe everyone deserves a safe, therapeutic environment to thrive in. Let me help you create that space for yourself. I have earned a Master's of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. I am fully licensed in the State of Michigan.
The bulk of the first session is used for paperwork. The benefit of the paperwork is it gives me an opportunity to gather the background information that I need to make an appropriate assessment of where we should start in the therapeutic process. Before diving deep into the paperwork, clients have the opportunity to tell me about themselves and why they have come for therapy services.
My therapeutic approach allows clients to start from where they are mentally and allow me to help guide them to where they want to be.
It is my purpose to work with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues and/or grief/loss. As your therapist, I will guide you through reducing triggers, big emotions and sadness while helping you create a sense of calm. I assist clients in processing losses and restoring healthy routines and purpose. My approach is to start from where you are and help you become the best version of yourself.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a treatment modality that is a structured, collaborative process where client and therapist work together to identify how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Rather than just talking about problems, you focus on actionable, problem-solving skills to manage distressing moods.
