Do you feel stuck in some part of your life and want to feel more confident, at ease, and connected? I am here to help you to break through anxiety, symptoms of depression, personal and generational trauma, and other challenges you might be encountering that make it hard to be true to yourself or cause relationship issues. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to help you reach your goals. Sometimes this can look like developing coping skills to handle stress more easily so you can move forward, learning your limits and setting priorities to maintain strong boundaries, or becoming a great communicator so you can actively practice how to speak, listen, and be heard.

Many of my clients also like to have more tangible ways of working on themselves or their relationships between sessions, and in those situations I also love using CBT and ACT.

Whatever you are struggling with, I will provide a safe, judgment-free space in which you can comfortably be yourself. I will guide you in finding harmony and fulfillment so that you can feel understood, find a sense of belonging, and have healthy relationships.

First session

In our first session, we’ll start with introductions and move on to the specific challenges you are facing. We will then work together to set clearly defined goals for what you would like to accomplish in therapy. **Please note that I only do 30-minute couples sessions following our initial intake.

Strengths

As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe space for you to find ways to overcome challenges with grace. We all encounter obstacles throughout this journey called life, and we are all doing our best to survive and thrive. When you feel stuck or overwhelmed, I will remind you that you have the strength and courage to carry on. Whatever changes you are hoping to make, or coping skills and strategies you want to learn, I can help you begin to move forward. Whether you are seeking help for yourself, your child, or you and your partner, I am available to you.

Ideal clients

I love working with young adults to older individuals, as well as couples of any age. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make their goals a reality. They often feel anxious and overwhelmed, or stuck in their relationships. Together, we will work on the relevant areas of your life such as self-esteem, ongoing stress or worry, self-care, and communication.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Using ACT, I help clients identify and accept difficult thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way, then move forward by committing to actions that are aligned with their values. While working with me, you will learn to practice mindfulness, develop psychological flexibility, and begin to adapt to life's challenges in healthy and productive ways.
