Have stressful life events left you feeling tired, anxious, or overwhelmed? Have you tried to make changes, but nothing seems to work? Is your child having struggles related to their identity, managing heavy emotions, or expressing their needs? If so, I am here to help. My current treatment focuses/ training are for perinatal mental health, and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). I'm passionate about working with the BIPOC population, LGBTQ+ population, teens, & young adults as they learn how to navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I'm dedicated to working with those of various backgrounds and walks of life. We all have moments where life may seem as if it is too much to handle and be that as it may, asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but instead a sign of strength. Although you or your loved one or your child may feel as if you are alone, I am here to let you know that you are not. If you believe I can be of service to you do not hesitate to reach out.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a calm, welcoming, and structured space where they are invited to share at their own pace. The first session focuses on understanding what brought them in, identifying their goals, and exploring relevant background experiences without overwhelming them. I ask thoughtful questions, reflect patterns you notice, and begin gently introducing practical tools when appropriate. Clients can expect to feel heard, respected, and supported, while also leaving with clarity about what therapy with me will look like and how we will work together moving forward. I do my best to help them feel seen and know I am not here to judge them or tell them how to live their lives.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where every client feels seen, respected, and able to show up as their authentic self. I approach each person with openness and without judgment, ensuring that clients are not treated differently based on their background, identity, or life experiences. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where clients can explore difficult thoughts and emotions without fear of being misunderstood or dismissed. I also bring authenticity into the therapy room. I believe meaningful progress happens when the therapeutic relationship feels genuine, so I aim to be present, transparent, and engaged throughout our work together. Alongside empathy and support, I am not afraid to offer thoughtful challenges or alternative perspectives that encourage clients to reflect more deeply on their patterns, beliefs, and choices. Through a balance of compassion, honesty, and curiosity, I work collaboratively with clients to help them build insight, develop healthier emotional responses, and move toward the changes they want to see in their lives. My Motto to clients is "You have every right to feel how you feel and think how you think. No one, including myself, has the right to tell you otherwise because we are not living your life or walking in your shoes."

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about working with the BIPOC population, LGBTQ population, teens, and young adults as they learn how to navigate life's challenges and transitions. I am also dedicated to working with people as they navigate perinatal mental health struggles related to pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting skills.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

In my practice, I use EFT to help clients identify underlying feelings, improve communication, and create stronger emotional connections. Together, we explore the cycles that may be keeping you stuck and work toward developing healthier ways of responding to yourself and others. This process supports greater emotional safety, deeper understanding, and more secure, fulfilling relationships.

Psychoeducation

In my practice, I use psychoeducation to help clients gain insight into what they are experiencing and why certain patterns may occur. By learning about emotional processes, coping strategies, and relational patterns, clients are better equipped to make informed choices and apply helpful tools in their everyday lives. This approach supports increased self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to navigate challenges more effectively.

EMDR

In my practice, EMDR helps clients safely revisit difficult memories while using guided bilateral stimulation to support the brain in reprocessing them in a healthier way. This process can reduce the emotional intensity connected to past experiences and allow clients to develop more adaptive beliefs about themselves. EMDR supports healing by helping the nervous system move out of survival mode and toward greater emotional balance and resilience.
