Do you feel so overwhelmed with life’s events that it becomes difficult to manage life? Are you experiencing low mood or depression? Perhaps it's a sense of impending doom, anxiety, or excessive worry that interferes with sleep, relationships, and success. My commitment as a therapist is to support you in identifying and managing your challenges. I'm here to help whether you're struggling with a lot of worries about the future, feelings of worthlessness, challenging life transitions, or past traumas. I use multiple evidence-based techniques emphasizing healthy coping strategies and solutions for you to use outside of treatment. We can work together to identify your triggers and patterns of functioning to move toward healing. I can't wait to meet you!
Our first visit will be spent on building trust and a therapeutic alliance. Much of the time we will be talking about how you have been feeling recently. You can expect me to ask you some questions to better understand some of the challenges that you may be experiencing. The first meeting is about building trust and an opportunity for you to ask questions or concerns that you may have about the therapeutic process.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with to address their unique needs. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Psychodynamic, Solution-focused therapy, and Strength-based Therapy to bring the unconscious into conscious awareness, support my clients in identifying their strengths, help identify goals, and support them in achieving their goals while empowering and promoting a positive sense of self.
My communication style is calm and accommodating. I support individuals to explore thoughts and feelings, as well as discuss life challenges in a safe therapeutic environment through the use of unconditional positive regard. I believe in promoting a positive sense of self, lessening the experience of worry and anxiety that can inhibit one’s growth and enjoyment of life.
